What makes used screens a good choice for you comes down to your preferences and the materials you're working with. What may be a great option for mining projects may be less valuable on a construction site. As you consider which rock screen is right for you, these factors should be key in your decision:

Screen size: Screens can have spaces only millimeters wide or large mesh that allows everything but the largest particles through. Fine meshes are suited for working with fine particle materials like sand and wet media, whereas operations involving large rocks and concrete may need larger holes to separate everything. Many operations use multiple screens in different sizes to help them sort more efficiently.

Screen material: Aggregate screens can be made from steel, rubber, wire or other materials, based on the type of media they're made to work with. While wet materials perform well with rubber and plastic compounds, steel and wire can be an excellent choice for materials that tend to stick together. Be sure to do your research and understand which materials will work best with the media you're sifting through.

Screen incline: Screens are typically manufactured to function horizontally or on an incline. Horizontal screens tend to be more thorough at sorting but slower, while incline screens are much better for high-volume applications. Incline screens may require more supervision to ensure adequate separation.
